MY STORY

Hi my name is Linda Carole Drummond. Though when this story starts, my name was Linda Carole Morgan. It all starts in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 27, 1943. My dad was an officer in the Army, and my mother was a homemaker and new mother. I was the first born of three daughters.

Mine was a moving life. even befor my sister was born (2 1/2 years after me) we lived in Arkansas for a while. Even with all the moving we did, all us girls myself, my sister Maxine, and my sister Karen were all born in the same hospital. By the time I graduated from high school in San Jose, California, I had gone to 14 different schools. Moving all the time like that was very hard on a shy young girl like myself.

After I graduated from high school I went to San Francisco to secretarial school. Before I even finished school I met my soon to be first husband. He was in the Navy, and again we moved. We lived in San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, and Freemont, California (just outside of San Francisco).Just nine months after we were married my first daughter Tina was born. Twenty months later, my daughter Candy joined the family. Not much later, my husband decided he did not want to be a part of the family any more, and left us on our own.

I soon met my next husband, and we also moved around. From California, we went to Illinois where we lived in four or five different homes. The only good that came from that marrage was my three wonderful children, John, Robert, and Rebekah (Becky). After 16 years of hell on earth, I and the children (4 teenagers at home, and 1 adult on her own) left and I became a single parent again.

As a single parent, I was not very good, but somehow we managed to survive, and you can see by the pages on the children, that they are doing fine now. When we left my second husband, we again moved around. Since then I have lived in many homes, with and without the kids, some happy, some not, but the good lord has blessed me, and now I have a very happy place to live.

Though my life has been rocky and hard at times, I have always had one streingth to lean on, and that is my faith in our Father in Heaven.

Love to all

Linda
